A completely flat Marathon distance bike-ride. A well loved route by all local cyclists. Chester is a perfect place to stop halfway before cycling back and enjoying a pint at the Harp!
Mostly traffic-free. Check the wind direction and go anti-clockwise if it means the wind will be on your back along the river!
A family ride to West Kirby along the Wirral Way, a great day out and you can turn back at any point. Not suitable for most roadbikes. Cafe's in Little Neston, Thurstaston and West Kirby
This is a near 70-km road ride which mostly follows the Wirral Circular Trail, if your bike is fine on gravel i would suggest using the Wirral Way to West Kirby and also the Wirral Way from Hooton to Neston. This is a great lap of the peninsula passing plenty of landmarks, beaches, cafes and a great view of Liverpool skyline halfway.
Can be extended to 100km if you continue to Chester following cycle route 56 via Capenhurst , pick up cycle route 5 and head back to the Harp via the Dee Marshes, Cycle Route 568.
